Alex Deets is an interdisciplinary artist based in Portland, Oregon. Their previous work centered questions of privacy, legacy, and transgender embodiment. Lately, Deets has been working as a peer support counselor, focusing on creative strategies for moving out of isolation and toward connectedness. Deets is MFA candidate at PSU in Art and Social Practice. Their current projects explore moving past the barriers that inhibit community-building during difficult times.
