You’re Invited To:
Sing Into the Void: Community Care-aoke!
Sing Into the Void is an experiment in connecting collectively with our feelings of loss. This is a space for grief, anger, clowning, sadness, numbness, catharsis. ~All emotions welcome~
Your song choices can relate to any kind of loss: loss of important objects, of a career, of people, places, loss of control, of ability, loss of rights, of time, of home, of space. ~All losses welcome~
Karaoke slips will be provided with instructions/options for participation.
Each iteration features an updated songbook of community curated songs that the public has submitted on the theme of loss. Feel free to pick from any of the songs shared or submit a song of your choosing that may not be listed in the book.
After each event, the songbook will be updated to include any new songs that participants contribute. After the final iteration of this event, the songbook will become a published document of all events including, songs, interviews, and essays on singing into the void. Stayed tuned for details as this project progresses!
