About the Sticker Emoji Residency:

The Sticker Emoji Residency was a workshop I facilitated at Elbow Room where I worked with participants to make homemade emojis to use for texting. Using a combination of existing emojis, iPhone picture grabbing editing tools, googling/taking screenshots and makeshift digital collages techniques, we explored how to personalize the standard emoji offerings to be more fun. During the workshop, we explored some of the emojis I’ve made in the past and brainstormed concepts that participants would like to create. After we created digital images, we printed them out into stickers. Participants made other forms of collage and handmade stickers during our time together. We had a really good time!
